THE SHOWS: ANTONIO AZZUOLO S/S 2013

Antonio Azzuolo's Spring/Summer 2013 was all about clashing ideas to form a particularly eclectic menswear collection, reaffirmed by the slicked back hair - reminiscent of Alfalfa from The Little Rascals - tousled in just one obscure area. Though many of the looks featured impeccably tailored blazers, every model was wearing a pair of not-so-understated trainers, pulled together using silver accents like belt loops and piping on the clothing. Overall, the garments were preppy, but odd details like exposed belly buttons, loud Rorschach-esque prints, and pants layered under pants layered under more pants made you think twice. - writing by Bianca Venerayan

    • An oversized menswear suit in a rich cream, worn with a satin shirt with extra long tails.

    • A perfectly tailored black suit, with the flare of an exposed belly button.

    • An otherwise regular navy cardigan features multiple satin pleats on one side. The sheen of the black fabric is repeated on the cropped pants.

    • A robe akin to Martial Arts gear, but dyed a deep blue and worn with matching dress pants.

    • A classic khaki suit with a twist - the shirt has much longer tails, and the blazer features contrasting white piping.

    • A colorblocked cardigan is worn over a haphazardly tucked white shirt and cropped chinos.

    • This super-fitted t-shirt is reminiscent of under armour, and features its half-navy and half-black colour. The cropped pants give the illusion of more pants layered underneath.

    • A cream turtleneck with a single rugby stripe on each shoulder, paired with cropped dress pants.

    • The preppiest look - an all-over plaid with a laid-back, athletic twist.

    • The contrasting bib updates the classic white shirt and black pants.

    • Raw edges and white straps reminiscent of untied neckties downplays the classic suit.

    • A subtly-textured white blazer-and-shorts combination.

    • A pair of neon Aztec print shorts worn with a deep-V top and a classic black blazer.
